Grateful For: A wonderful Mother's Day weekend!
We went camping-- the first time camping with little E-- and it was just such a great weekend. Despite the rain and cool weather, we had a really great time.
E loved playing outside, and we did quite a bit of hiking, too. We used the backpack carrier that Trevor bought a couple weeks ago-- it worked great. And of course, I took like ninety million pictures.
Amused By: This little guy conking out on our hike-- he was SO OUT. And that little squished cheek!! Ah!!
Surprised About: We found these little cactus things all over the place while we were camping... in South Dakota. I don't even know.
Working On: Just getting things back together after being away for the weekend! How come one weekend of camping results in sixteen thousand loads of laundry? Totally worth it, though!
Shopping For: Mmmmm... this week, just groceries, nothing fun. Although I'm thinking I want a couple more of the tank tops I bought in this post back here-- those are awesome. And it's getting warm!!
Smitten With: E also got to go to a Kindermusik class this weekend-- he had so much fun with the singing and playing at watching all the kids. He was just enthralled the whole time! Totally smitten.
Reading: Not much! Any good recommendations for this summer?
On a walk down to our pond
Writing: Nothing, nothing at all. :( I'm hoping to get some good writing time in this weekend, but we will see! I have been working on a couple of blog posts about how to make and dye a woven wrap, so that's in the works at least!
Cooking: This past weekend, we had Tieffentaller brats -- so so good! This week I've been pretty uninspired as far as meals go... we had Chicken Fajitas in the crock pot, some boring meals, some leftovers, and frozen pizza.
Proud: Trevor started back full time at work again last week-- and we've survived! Pretty proud of that. We've been spoiled with having Trevor home most of the time for the past six months- what a blessing and a special time for us to spend a lot of time together. We're doing pretty well just me and E home all day, but we miss Trevor! We're always looking forward to when Daddy gets home!
Praying: For balance-- I'm still not doing awesome with keeping everything running. I can mom and homemake, or I can mom and blog, or I can homemake and blog... but I can't do all three yet. We'll see if we ever get there... but I'd really like to.
Currently: Playing! Little E just loves to play. Right now we're playing inside (while mama folds laundry...) and later, we'll go play outside in the beautiful sunshine!
