You Know You Live at a Bible Camp When....

You Know You Live at a Bible Camp When... - It's a wonderful crazy loud life, but someone's got to do it. And I'm glad to be that someone. | http://bit.ly/1BjGFNU

Most of your co-workers are also your neighbors. And you watch their kids sometimes. And you're all friends. Which makes it tricky to describe them.

95% of your co-worker/neighbor/friends play guitar. Everyone sings, and 80% also play piano. And they just might start playing drums during a retreat, and you're really not surprised by it. ("She can play the harmonica? And the tuba? And the washboard? Of course she can.")

Whenever you're concerned about something, you just tell any of your neighbor/co-worker/friends, and they pray about it. Even if they're in the middle of something else. They're all like, "We should pray. Let's pray."

You open your front door to find a Bible study taking place on your deck.

When asked why there are nine magic markers in your flower garden, you respond, "Camp."

Everyone has lived in your home at one time. In fact, many of your co-workers remember when the garage was added on, or can tell you about how your living room once served as the office (all of these are true stories about our little home called Shalom).

You are not concerned when 35 middle school kids run screaming past your home while being chased by youth-pastor-types wielding tube socks filled with flour.

It's pretty much the best.

And the summer's starting again...

This week.

Can't get enough about Camp?

Yeah, I thought so. While I'm busy... you know... being a part of this crazy adventure (ie: organizing registration forms and answering the phone), you might want to read...
