Blessings this Week: 06.03.2016 Edition

There have been lots of little moments this week.

They had to be little moments, because with summer camp starting up veryverysoon, my big moments are all filled up.

These little moments are glimpses into a very real God who is very much interested in the details of my life. And He loves me. Even in the smallest of things, like a little bunny in the grass or a sunset or a funny moment, I know that He loves me.

Do you remember that nest I showed you a couple weeks ago?

It's a lot louder and hungrier now.

...   ...   ...   ...   ...

The camp where I work is doing a discipleship thing during the summer, so I have a group of five young ladies who will be "my" counselors this summer. I'm really looking forward to getting to know them, and what a privilege to be a part of their lives for the next ten weeks!

The weather this week has been wonderful- rainy mornings that give way to sunny afternoons. I've spent all of absolutely no time in my house, so it's a disaster, but I'm certainly getting my vitamin D.

...   ...   ...   ...   ...

One year ago, today, we closed on our house. Incredible.
...   ...   ...   ...   ...

Both sets of parents joined us for visits last weekend- we saw Trevor's folks on Saturday (in the rain... which wasn't ideal for all the looking through buildings that Trevor and Dad were doing), and from my parents on Sunday to drop off lots of things from their house, as well as their dog (we'll talk about that in a minute).

Having parents who visit and love and support... it's certainly a blessing.

I've been coming home to this sight, lately.

Two dogs eagerly waiting our return.

My parents have enrolled their black lab, Tina, into our Farm-Doggy-Care Camp. We converted the barn into a giant dog house for her and Bear to roam around and get into all kinds of trouble, and fenced off the lean-to so that they can play outside whenever they want.

Tina loves swimming in the pond, and has convinced Bear that going for a swim (with both front paws paddling, instead of just one) is lots of fun. I haven't gotten any pictures, yet... mostly because with all the splashing and dowsing and shaking, the camera would get really wet. Someday.

They have discovered a definite benefit to being together-- they take turns howling and whining for us to come play with them. So as not to exhaust their voices.

THIS WEEK

In case you missed it...

I asked for tips from other Christian bloggers about what they do to understand the Bible better- it's chock full of good ideas.

Have a great week-- and count those little moments of blessings!
