Raccoon tracks by the barn

Well it certainly has been a while since I've written a blessings post, and I'm tempted to go way back and recount all the many, many blessings from weeks past... but that's an overwhelming thought, because there have been so many!

Instead I'll just jump right in on this week!

...   ...   ...

This week has been all about shelves!

Our house remodeling has been pretty slow going as of late... the baby being born so early really put a damper on our home projects, so we've just been living with things as they are. But this week, Trevor put up shelves in the bathroom:

and in the laundry room:

and let me tell you, I love them. Having actual storage space makes such a difference, and the bathroom and laundry area feel so much bigger now that the temporary storage is gone.

Getting the shelves up also gave me some major incentive to go through all of the stuff we have and weed out things we don't use- and decluttering feels so good.

...   ...   ...

Little baby E has been taking more and more of his naps in his bed instead of in my arms (so I could organize and declutter while he snoozes!), but we still get some good snuggle time in the evening. When he sleeps while I'm holding him, he likes to have his little hand on my chest.

...   ...   ...

I'm amazed at how fast his personality is emerging-- every week it seems like he's changed! He just loves being talked to, and he's started to really "talk" back. He's just such a happy baby.

...   ...   ...

We're finally getting into something of a routine, and my schedule-loving, type-A self is so glad about that. It's nice to have a plan for the day- I feel like I spend less time doing unproductive things and more time being intentional about being a good wife, mother, and child of God.

...   ...   ...

Nice warm weather toward the end of the week, so we got all snuggled up and went outside!

(Yes, there is a baby in there)

The baby slept through the beautiful day while Trevor and I worked on clearing off our pond/ice skating rink!

Have a wonderful week-- and count those blessings!

  1. E is so adorable...and will continue to get even cuter. Their personalities just keep revealing themselves - I like how he has to have his hand on your chest while he snoozes, just showing mom how much he needs you!! Enjoy every day because they grow so fast!!!
